During the 1950s Port St. Lucie mainly was an uninhabited parcel of land located to the south of White City. It was comprised of a couple of businesses and farms as well as a fishing camp close to U.S. 1. Then in 1958, with a $5 budget, the River Park development was purchased by General Development Corporation (GDC) in addition to 40,000 acres situated on St. Lucie River’s North Fork. GDC opened the first bridge across the St. Lucie River in 1959, which made Port St. Lucie directly accessible by car.

CC began development on its latest community called Tradition in 2006. This community is located west of the Gatlin Blvd. intersection of Interstate 95. Before CC started developing the area it was a cattle ranch. On the site, they built a commercial area of approximately 13,000,000 square feet, along with space for more than 18,000 residences. The CC website states that Tradition is the largest completely entitled residential development from Interstate 95 up to the U.S.- Canada border. The model for Tradition was a 1950s-era town. The CC website also states that the community’s town center called Tradition Square hosts festivities year-round. It has been named one of the best 100 communities in America and was selected by HGTV to be their site for Green Home 2009.

Port St. Lucie is home of the New York Mets for spring training, and also home for the Florida State League St. Lucie Mets, and Gulf Coast League Mets rookie-level team. All three of these teams play their home games at First Data Field. Port St. Lucie is also home to the semi-pro soccer team the Treasure Coast Galleons. There are two soccer clubs in the city also, with both competitive and recreational play. These two clubs are the Port Saint Lucie and Make soccer clubs. PGA Village is a golf complex that is comprised of 54 holes of golf, a historical center and learning center. In 2007 the city hosted its first PGA Tour Event, the Ginn Classic at Tesoro.

Building a new house is stressful enough, when getting to the point of hiring a gutter company I had 4 companies come out to give me estimates. I decided to go with Budget gutters. They were professional, friendly and very fair in pricing. I couldn't be happier, these people are amazing in workmanship as well as professionalism. Don't hesitate. They are well worth it.

I had a absolutely wonderful experience with Budget Gutters. The young lady in the office (Amy) was super nice, very professional (the most professional I spoke to out of several companies), she was knowledgeable, personable and able to answer all of my questions. She was able to provide a quote over the phone and once we hung up forwarded me the estimate in writing immediately. I then chose to go with their company which I am happy I did. The install went smoothly and the installers were very professional. There prices, quality of work and professionalism are superior to others hands down. I will definitely be using them again for my other properties in the future. Great job Budget Gutters 👏 5+ stars

          When Gutters Go Bad

          Neglected Gutters

Neglected gutters usually carry a heavy load of debris that may build over time. It also contains standing water. This weight can destroy the gutter’s pitch in no time. The pitch is usually the angle of the guttering that directs the water to the downspouts using gravity. When the pitch is destroyed due to excess weight, the water cannot flow to the downspout. In fact, the water will sit in the gutter for a longer period of time. At this point, the standing water could back up into the home.
